Enter Strawberry Lemonade, a sativa-dominant (60%) hybrid from Barney’s Farm’s Cali Collection in the Netherlands.
Originating from a blend of Strawberry and Barney’s Lemon OG, this strain promises an aroma that’ll “make your nostrils tingle and taste buds dance.”
With a THC content exceeding 20%, Strawberry Lemonade offers a zesty kick, perfect for daytime use. Its uplifting effects can elevate one’s mood and induce laughter.
Growth and Yield
But it’s not just about the aroma and effects.
Strawberry Lemonade also impresses with its growth characteristics. Indoors, after a 60-70 day flowering period, growers can expect a generous yield of up to 700g/m2. Outdoors, this strain can produce up to 2.5 kilos per plant.
It boasts a strong resistance to mold (5/5 on Barney’s scale) and finishes early (1st-2nd week of October), reducing the risk of mold infestation. Spider mites? They struggle against this variety, which has a resistance rating of 4/5.
Vegetative Stage Insights
In its vegetative stage, Strawberry Lemonade showcases its sativa dominance, often reaching 120-150cm indoors. Despite its height, Barney’s considers it a relatively easy strain to cultivate.

Flowering and Aroma

Harvest and Yield
When it came time to harvest after 70 days, the two Strawberry Lemonade plants had reached 109 and 117 cm. The Doc’s yield was a whopping 272 grams, averaging 136 grams per plant.
Taste Test and Effects
During his taste test, The Doc was struck by the strain’s intense lemon flavor, reminiscent of lemon-flavored fizzy tablets, with a hint of strawberry sweetness.
The initial puffs were invigorating, giving him a burst of energy that lasted about an hour. Afterward, he felt relaxed and content.
